THE ASO O. TAVITIAN SCHOLARS PROGRAM
ABOUT THE
PROGRAM
MORE THAN TWO DECADES OF PARTNERSHIP
The Aso O. Tavitian Scholars Program was established in 1999 in cooperation with the Tavitian Foundation for mid-career professionals in Armenia who wish to pursue a multidisciplinary Fletcher education that prepares them to lead through the challenges of an ever-changing and complex world.
FOSTERING EXCELLENCE IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR
Drawing upon the inter-disciplinary expertise of Fletcher faculty, The Tavitian Program aims to equip participants with critical working knowledge and practical understanding of the global political landscape, the various aspects of public policy and administration, and the intricate world of international relations.
ONE SEMESTER. 15 SCHOLARS.
The Tavitian Scholars Program brings approximately 15 mid-career professionals from various ministries, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations in Armenia to The Fletcher School for a semester-long intensive training program in leadership and governance.
THE CAPSTONE PROJECT
The Program offers an interdisciplinary set of courses drawing from the school’s core fields of study, complemented by a Tavitian Symposium, a peer-driven learning environment that facilitates scholars to apply their learnings to current issues in the Armenian public sector.
A POWERFUL NETWORK
Since it was established, more than 350 alumni have completed the program.
